ARTIST STATEMENT

Heidi Harum is a photographer based in South Florida. She is interested in creating works that blur the line between photography and painting.  Her two latest series involve manipulating surfaces into a variety of contours, patterns and textures. These compositions are then used to form a range of impressions using moving images or water. Each moment captures the transformation of the surface producing different organic qualities. The resulting abstractions are a combination of layers of colored light and shadows, every frame being unique and unexpected.
